How to Make Chalkboard Place Card Napkin Rings
Fast and easy. That about sums up these place marks napkin rings. Supplies are minimal. Check it out:
- wood name tags (found mine at Michaels for 29 cents a piece)
- spray-can primer
- spray-can chalkboard paint
- 150 grit sand paper
- ribbon, twine, etc.
I used the sand paper to smooth out the tags, then shot them front and back with the primer.
I chose a ‘front’ for the tags and shot that with two coats of the chalkboard paint. I also sanded between coats for a smooth finish.
Then it was just a matter of slipping a bit of ribbon through the holes in the tags. See? Fast and easy.

Great idea. And it looks like it would take about the amount of time I could handle. Thanks
Glad you like them!
