If you’re looking for a simple yet interesting (in a minimal, less-is-more way) window topper, this project might be just the thing. Basically you make a panel OR you can even use a table runner or tea towel, and then sew drapery rings to each upper point. If you’re extending your panel over two windows, like I did in the picture above, you’ll want to sew another ring at the center. To hang your new topper, just screw drawer knobs into the window’s molding and hang the rings over them. I used wooden drapery rings and knobs, both found at my local big box store for just a few bucks. I then painted them with a buttermilk-color enamel craft paint. Very cost effective and easy!img_0004_1
