How to use your Xyron to make a perfect ‘bow’

February 10, 2009

If  you have a Xyron sticker maker, you can use it to make some sweet–and easy– ’bows’ for greeting cards. Here’s how you do it.

First, feed a strip of ribbon through your Xyron. (I fed through four at a time because I was making several Valentine’s cards with bows on them.)

Next, place a 3″ to 4″ piece of ribbon (not Xyron-ed) on the cardstock where you’d like a bow.

Then stick a ribbon Xyron sticker that you made in the first step across it, like so.

Fold the edges of the sticky ribbon around to the back of the cardstock.

Tie the ribbon and trim ends as desired.

Ta-da! A perfect greeting card ’bow’ .

P.S. If you don’t have a Xyron, this technique will work with glue too, but the Xyron makes it super simple!

Perfect, I love the idea……why bother with skinny tape and all the frustration. Thanks for sharing it.
