Turning a vase into a decorative lamp with Twinkle Lights!

December 16, 2008

This little item started back before Halloween. I had some orange twinkle lights and thought they’d look interesting shoved down a clear vase. (See that original post here.) I liked the outcome so much, I decided to scale back the boo factor to extend the look into the holiday season. I simply sprayed the same vase with glass frosting finish. Now, spray frosting is not permanent, like etching, which is nice for people like me who like to change things up. After it was dry, I shoved a strand of white twinkle lights into the vase. Although this was meant to be illuminated over the holidays, again, I like it so much, I think it’ll last well into February…at least! :)

They’re the regular old plug in kind. The cord is just hanging over the lip of the vase.
